Our assignment was to create an electronic professional portfolio. We had to describe a little about ourselves, list our experiences, educational background, awards, travel experiences, hobbies and interest, and create a link to our blog. Educators can create their own webpage and customize it the way they want it to be, such as a professional portfolio. They can share something about themselves with others. It is really useful. I would definately update my site in the future since this is just a few information about me now. What I liked best about using weebly was having the opportunity to create our very own professional portfolio online. Not only can we put information but we can also add pictures, music, and links to our other pages we created. It was a great experience creating our portfolio online.

Multicultural Education and Technology

My presentation was on Multicultural Education and Technology. My presentation was short and simple but I learned a lot while doing the research. I learned that technology can serve as a tool in a multicultural education classroom and it is useful for both educators and students. If I had another opportunity to do it over, I would add more useful information and provide examples of the different technology being used in a multicultural education classroom. The challenges I encountered with this presentation was finding the right information and also uploading it to slideshare. The best thing I learned was that technology is useful in a multicultural education classroom. The classroom are so diverse and nowadays, society is technology dependent.

Elluminate Live

That was a lot of great information we learned from Bree Reynolds. I did not know that we can create our own smart boards. I think that was really cool and much more affordable than buying the actual smart board. The website that I thought was interesting was the WolframAlpha. I couldn't really see it clear though because the internet was really slow. Elluminate live is a good alternative to learning since it involves interaction. We can interact live with others through that site and share lots of useful information such the websites Bree introduce. What I like about Elluminate is that we can communicate with one another. What I dislike about it was that I couldn't see and hear things clearly probably because the internet was slow. But overall, I think its a fun way to interact.

Today, I tried the zoho planner. It allows you to post reminders and to do list. I also tried the zoho show. One thing I learned from the zoho show was that you can share it with someone else and be able to work on it together. You can even chat while working. Cool!

This site would be really helpful for students. Students can create slide shows, take notes online, create a planner,etc...

I would make them create a slide show on a topic of their choice. They can also work in pairs and share the zoho show together.

1. Our assignment was to create a web quest project on a topic of our choice.
2. I use Zunal.com to create my web quest. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate it a 8. I like how it guides you through the process in creating our webquest. The thing I dislike about it is that if you accidentally do not save your work, you cannot go back to retrieve it. You have to start all over.
3. I would use webquest in my future classroom to present a lesson activity or to teach how to create their own webquest. I think this would be helpful for the visual learners in the classroom.
4. This would be helpful for students to learn and work with technology.
5. What I like about the assignment was learning how to create it. It is something new for me. It was a great experience working with it.

Timelines

1. Today, we used tech-nology to create a timeline of 6 major events in our life. We also used xtimeline to create timeline of major events of computer history.

2. I would use these programs in my future classroom to visually familiarize students to these programs and allow them to create thier own timelines.

3. I would rate Teach-nology.com timeline generator a 9 and Xtimeline.com a 7. Teach-nology timeline generator was much easier than the xtimeline.
